As the oldest of four, with family spread across the country, it isn’t always possible to be the big sister I’d like to be in person. I’ve seen up close how true it is that “it takes a village” to help guide, protect, and encourage young people—and I also know that support doesn’t always show up when it’s needed most.
That’s why I created these free “Adulting 101” guides for young men and women: simple, honest life tips and perspectives that can be shared with anyone, at any age, as they’re learning how to navigate the world. Please read them, pass them along to someone who might need a steady voice, and thank you for helping me grow this village.
If you know me, you know I adore my two furbabies (and all animals). They keep me grounded and constantly spark my creativity—from sculpting to sketching to little stories from my vivid imagination.
I just sold my first ACEO art card, and I’m excited to share more pieces for sale soon. For now, enjoy these snippets from the worlds they inspire.
She looked up at me with those soulful brown eyes, hopped up onto my lap, and somehow the stories just poured out. I merely served as her editor, polishing here and there, and eventually stepping in as her photographer for the cover shot.
Writing has always been a refuge for me as well. Beyond helping my four-legged friend document her adventures, I'm currently immersed in a more personal project—developing the script and planning process for my first short film. This project explores my journey of surviving abuse when I was 19, transforming a painful chapter of my life into something that might help others navigate their own healing journeys.
From whimsical pet projects to profound personal storytelling, these creative endeavors have become my way of processing and sharing experiences that matter.
ACEO cards are tiny original artworks, just 2.5" x 3", also known as artist trading cards. They’re fun to make, highly collectible, and a great entry point into the world of creating and selling art for profit.
As artists, many of us carry guilt or pressure around making money from our work—but your perspective, voice, beauty, and talent deserve to be seen and valued. I’m excited to keep growing my roster of artists‑as‑clients and to show that it’s possible to contain multitudes: to be deeply creative, experiment with how you make a living, and stay focused and centered—with me, Nikola as your guide.
